Statement On UK’s Announcement Of Priority Areas For Free Trade Agreements

London, UK – Daniel Dyball, UK Executive Director issued the following statement following the announcement of the UK’s negotiating priorities for free trade agreements with other nations:

“Internet Association welcomes today’s announcement on the UK government’s priority areas for a US trade deal. It is encouraging to see a strong focus on the digital sector as part of any trade arrangement. The internet enables British businesses to export, so it is vital that the future US-UK trade agreement includes strong digital provisions that enable cross-border data flows, encourage vibrant e-commerce markets, and facilitate digital exports. We look forward to seeing the UK’s negotiating objectives, and to working with the UK government throughout the process.
